Parents who have lost a baby during pregnancy or have suffered a stillbirth, will again have the opportunity to remember their loved ones this winter with special services, hosted by chapliancy service at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust and prepared in conjunction with SANDS (the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society).

The services will be held on Sunday, 29th November 2015, at 3pm in the Hope Centre, Calderdale Royal Hospital, and on Friday 4th December at 7.30 p.m. in St Thomas’ Church, Manchester Road, Huddersfield, (opposite Wickes).

Everyone attending is invited to remember their babies with special readings and the lighting of candles whilst the names of their babies will be read out.

Hospital chaplain, George Spencer said: “It is heart-breaking for any family to deal with such loss, but we hope these events can provide some comfort to parents and families in their grief and help them to remember their baby, a baby who was so briefly known but dearly loved.”
