Our  Counter Fraud Specialist, Adele Jowett, is urging colleagues to read all the terms and conditions attached to attending events.

It has come to light that there are occasions where colleagues say they are attending a free event and, when they don't attend, the organisers have levied a cancellation charge. These charges made for non-attendance are clearly listed in the company’s terms and conditions.

Adele recommends anyone proposing to book a place on any free event should carefully check the organising company’s terms and conditions before making a commitment to attend.
