"I personally care about how colleagues feel about working here and I'll be completing my survey as it's  important I share my views too".

That's how  Executive Director of Nursing and Operations Julie Dawes replied when asked why it's crucial colleagues complete their survey if they've received one.

Julie added:" It's really important that colleagues complete it to allow us to understand how they are feeling and experiencing working at CHFT. It's important because inevitably it could impact the care we give our patients, and it's only by looking into what people tell us that we can improve our services for both colleagues and patients."

Just 850 colleagues were picked at random by Picker Institute to receive a survey, which were sent earlier this month to work areas. With a month to go a large number of colleagues have not yet taken the opportunity to give us their views, so if you have one sat on your desk or in your in-tray please take some time to complete it.

Managers should encourage their team to complete it if they've received one and give them time to complete it whilst at work, and in a private area where they'll not be disturbed. All the answers are completely anonymous and individual responses will not be shared with anyone at CHFT.
