As part of their team's CQC self-assessment, managers in Appointment Services have created an information sheet for colleagues, as well as a team charter called "Raising our Standards".

Assistant Manager of Appointments Carolyn Waterworth told CHFT Weekly "We thought that having a Q&A sheet would make it a little more meaningful for the team who all carry out important roles for our Trust. I'm really proud of our team and what they achieve every day. (See the attachments above for photos and the Q&A sheet).

"We thought about the sorts of questions colleagues may want to ask or know more about - and they've all now had the sheet as part of their appraisals.

Carolyn added "The CQC inspection is important to us and the Trust but it just reminded us as managers that it's what we should be doing anyway and keeping colleagues informed is part of that".

On the back of Friends and Family feedback they also now have their own charter to raise standards, which colleagues were encouraged to contribute to.

Additional Preparing for CQC Induction roadshows will be held over the coming months and will be open to all colleagues. Director of Nursing Julie Dawes is holding her next session at CRH in the Large Training Room at 4.30pm on Thursday 12 November. More information will be added to the CQC pages over the coming weeks.
