A group of new midwives started with the Trust last week and CHFT Weekly caught up with them at one of their induction days.

Tanya Wardle (see attachment at the top of the story) told CHFT Weekly she'd always wanted to be a midwife.

She said: "I knew when I was a teenager what I wanted to do. I was really interested in the physiology and the concept of birth.

"After taking a different path and doing other things for a while I realised in my late 20's that I still had time to pursue my dream career. So here I am and I can't wait to get started".

Associate Director of Nursing and Head of Midwifery, Anne-Marie Henshaw said "We are delighted to welcome our new colleagues who will be such an asset to our already strong and committed team".
