Staff from ward 18 at HRI held a Garden Party raising funds for a charity called 4Louis.

The charity supports bereaved parents in many ways, and staff on ward 18 became aware of the charity when they were looking at their bereavement policy and how the death of a child is managed.

Every day 17 families will suffer the trauma of a stillbirth or neonatal death across the country.

Four bereavement boxes were generously provided by 4Louis to the Trust free of charge for parents to us and have as a keepsake and so the staff wanted to do something in return.

Organsier Catherine Foster told us: "With the aim of trying to raise more awareness about this charity and to lend some support financially, we decided that we would hold a fundraiser and we liked the idea of a charity garden party".

St thje event, in August, there were also raffles, activivities and together they raised an impressive £607 in total, and fun was had by all.
