Our winter flu campaign starts proper next week and our vaccinators are poised and ready to make you feel fab by having your jab!
We'll be keeping colleagues posted with drop-in dates and information over the coming weeks in CHFT Weekly - but with almost 8000 deaths a year from flu it's important that we all do our bit to keep everyone safe this winter.
Head of Occupational Health and Wellbeing Christine Bouckley told CHFT Weekly "We'll happily come along to team meetings or big events so groups of colleagues can be vaccinated together. Just let one of the team know by contacting us at occupational.healthCHT@cht.nhs.uk and we'll arrange for someone to come along". Wards and clinical areas with a fridge are being issued with 10 doses for their colleagues to help the immunisers access a vaccine quickly if needed.
The vaccination can take two weeks to kick in, so please have it sooner rather than later to make sure you and our patients are protected.
