This week is Freshers' Week at the University of Huddersfield, as first year students flock from far and wide to set up home in Huddersfield for their coming academic years.

We have been working with the Uni to raise awareness of Organ Donation, and all students will now see a desktop on computers and laptops dedicated to Organ Donation sign-up upon their return to University. It was the idea of the vice-chancellor Bob Cryan and president of the student union Mike McGougan.

Our specialist transplant nurse, Jayne Greenhalgh, said: "This is a tremendous initiative by the University." I do-nate is the theme of the campaign and people are being encouraged to sign up and tell their families about their wishes.
