In the run up to Theatre Action Week we have been sharing with you what we believe makes for SUPER theatres.

The U in SUPER refers to use or utilisation. During June, July and August this year there were several  times when our theatres were "fallow" ie not  being used for surgery. A productive theatre means maximising the use of an expensive facility to provide treatment that our patients are waiting for.  

We are looking for volunteers to take part in Theatres Action Week. The role will involve spending time in theatres, observing what goes on with fresh eyes and feeding back what you see and any ideas you have. There will be briefings to help you with the role.
