Tony Hodkinson has lost pounds to gain pounds for our SCBU.

Pals a work at car parts firm VTL drew an outline on the wall to show his weight loss and it has spurred him on to lose an incredible 44lbs (3 stones) in 23 weeks. His tactic was calorie counting and exercise.

Tony said the care on SCBU meant so much to so many people. "I know they do wonderful care at the unit which means so much to families with babies there.".

Tony, 60, from Netherton, raised the money as his daughter Jessica was on the unit with croup 28 years ago and he has friends and family with babies who have been cared for there.

He said: “I couldn’t of done it without my wife Sue. She prepares some delicious calorie controlled meals for us both and she supported me by losing weight herself at the same time. Plus weekly weighings at work with supportive workmates."
