Obstetric Theatre Nurse Sandra Lee had a special last day with colleagues. She started her nursing career as a Nursing Cadet in 1968 prior to starting nurse training at the then Royal Halifax Infirmary.  She worked at the adjacent Halifax General Hospital until November 1979 when she moved to Huddersfield Maternity Unit, based in the ante and post-natal ward and then to maternity theatre in 2000. She said: "Like in any area of work there has been stressful, sad, happy, difficult and memorable times over the past 46 years of my working life. I would like to thank all my friends and working colleagues, present and past, for their support and friendship.  Although I am giving up paid work, I am already working full time as a grandma to four young children – now this is more stressful and tiring!!. I would like to wish everybody the best for the future."
