cWe are a month away from our first Celebrating Nursing and Midwifery Conference. (Friday Sept 18 YMCA Salendine Nook )

So far 55 colleagues have signed up for the day of talks, presentations and stands highlighting the innovation underway at the Trust - all aimed at improving care for our patients.

It is a chance to meet our new research lead from Huddersfield University, Professor Felicity Astin and share and find out more about the work of colleagues in other areas.Our finalists in the Nursing Times awards will be there and there will be the chance to see the CHFT-designed Comfy Cocoon - the bed of the future!!

On the day, Barnsley-born Chief Nurse from NHS England Margaret Kitching will be talking about the challenges for the future for nursing. 

Director of Nursing, Julie Dawes, said: " This is shaping up to be an excellent day for us all and I look forward to meeting as many colleagues as possible throughout the day."
