By now you should be aware we have launched a series of projects with the dual aim of making us more efficient so we can see more patients and raise more income and get our finances back on track.

There's a whole raft of ideas underway and they will feature continuously in CHFT Weekly and should be appearing in all your own team updates. They range from buying the cheapest drugs option where there is one, to different shift patterns so there is more time for nurses to care for patients. Other schemes include getting better use from our theatres and using the procurement process so we always know CHFT is getting best value from the money it is spending.

However, it may be that you've had an idea (and the simplest are often the best) where a big difference could be made. If so, CHFT Weekly really wants to hear from you and we can share your ideas with the divisions to develop.

In the coming weeks we hope to feature the best ones which really are working.  So let us know. Let’s face it, everyone has their own ideas on how it could be better at work.
