After the success of the homemade soups, our catering teams at HRI are now looking for further innovation to improve menus for our patients.
A Catering Forum hosted by the team at HRI is being held on Friday August 28 (2-4 pm) next to the Dining Room at HRI and everyone is invited to meet our caterers and dietitians, sample some of the food on offer and suggest other ideas for improvement.
The team has already been staging a variety of themed days to offer food with extra appeal to patients such as Strawberries and Cream for Wimbledon and Curd Tarts for Yorkshire Day (Aug 1) - coincidentally a day when Lancashire Hotpot was also on the menu!
So if you're hungry to get involved and make a difference come along!
Assistant Head of Catering, Adrian Brown, said: “Everyone has a view on hospital food and we would really value colleagues’ input into this. Ward teams see what is wanted and what is popular and this is vital if we are to produce nutritious and appealing choices for our patients.
