.....Foundation Year 1 Junior Doctor, Harry Dixon. He was selected at random by our CEO Owen to win a night away in the Yorkshire Dales.

Last year was prrobably our best-ever for flu take-up  with 80% of frontline staff immunised.

Harry, who is working on geriatric medicine at HRI, started at on his rotation here at CHFT eight months ago on Urology and that was where he had his jab at the start of our immunisation campaign.

Harry said: "I've had my flu jab each year since becoming a medical student. It's important I protect myself obviously as I don't want to expose those around me to it. It's also so I can help reduce the risk of passing the flu on to others who may not have had their vaccine and could be vulnerable".

Every colleague who has had their flu jab went into a draw, and was allocated a number in our database. Owen used our staff lottery number generating machine to pick the winner at random, alongside Christine Bouckley from Occupational Health which coordinates the annual immunisation campaign alongside Infection Control.

* Harry's prize is a night, dinner B&B in the Yorkshire Dales for two in Nidderdale north of Harrogate. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty centred on Pateley Bridge and he plans to share it with his girlfriend.

**Three peer immunisers were also picked randomly by Owen. Zoe Tinto-Mason, Carol Gregson and Leanne Grice each won £50 worth of gift vouchers.
