Our Eye Clinic at CRH have held their first ever Golden Globe Awards in a bid to promote kindness, boost staff morale and build each other up.

Team members were encouraged to nominate each other together with a reason then post it in a box together with a pound.

At the end of the month the nominations were counted up and a pamper hamper purchased with the pounds collected.

At the staff huddle there was an awards ceremony (like the Oscars) and Heather Robinson read out all the lovely comments and nominations  and then announced the winner.

The winner was Trish Hooson who had two nominations, which read as follows, for:

* being a kind and caring person always thinking of others she has a great sense of humour and a great relationship with patients and colleagues.

* all her hard work, knitting and fund raising.

Trish was presented with a golden Oscar’s statue, sash and pamper hamper. Her certificate has been put up on our Happy Board in the department.

Trish said: "It was a bit overwhelming really. I didn’t expect it at all. Everyone works really hard in eye clinic and I’m sure they deserve it more than I do but it was lovely to feel appreciated by a great team. Luv 'em to bits."
