It's exciting times for our Fundraising Manager Emma Kovaleski as she's revealed our first two Trust charity fundraising events. She's looking for more colleagues to join her and Systems Development Accountant, Sarah Laherty in the challenges, which will help raise money for our charitable funds as well as bring colleagues together.

Sarah will be running (on her birthday no less) against her sister and two brothers-in-law in some family friendly rivalry...so if you're up for it read on to find out more.

Yorkshire Three Peaks on Saturday 4th July 

A 24.5 mile trek through stunning Yorkshire countryside, with the no small obstacles of Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-Y-Ghent Peaks to conquer, this challenge will test, push and reward anyone who dares take it on! Here are the details:

  • Distance: 24.5 miles
  • Entry fee: £35 per person - for this you will receive a CHFT Charity T-shirt to wear
  • Sponsorship pledge: £150 per person (toward our Trust Charity)
  • Deadline: Friday 19th June

Great North Run on Sunday 13th September 

Emma has secured five charity places in this year’s run on Sunday 13th September 2020. The places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis - although Systems Development Accountant, Sarah Laherty heard the news and has already bagged a space.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2020, the world’s greatest half marathon has welcomed more than a million people across the finish line in South Shields since it began. Do you fancy being a part of the next million?

Emma is a seasoned runner, and can support you not only with lots of ideas and inspiration to raise your sponsorship, but she can also support you with training plans too. Here are all the details:

Starting from the iconic Tyne Bridge, the Simplyhealth Great North Run's 13.1 mile course is always lined with supporters, cheering runners onto the finish by the stunning coastline in South Shields.

  • Distance: 13.1 miles
  • Minimum age: 17
  • Entry fee: £58for this you will receive a CHFT Charity running vest to wear
  • Sponsorship pledge: £300 (toward our Trust Charity)
  • Deadline to secure your place: Friday 3rd April
