They have been shortlisted for three awards out of 17 categories: Site Supervisor of the Year, Professional Cleaning Operative of the Year and Healthcare Establishment of more than 250 beds
Healthcare Cleaning Duty Manager at CRH Lisa Swift (pictured left) has been nominated for Site Supervisor of the Year. Lisa has been with ISS since March 2002.
Here's part of her nomination: "Lisa has become the backbone of Supervision/Management in the latter part of our usually very busy day.
"Often hospitals may have bottle necks of patients waiting to move around the site allowing a steady throughput of patients and avoiding breaches of the 4 hour target set for A&E Depts. Lisa assists the Trust's A&E department in the late evening and her quick thinking and organizational assists with good patient flow, working in partnership with the ‘Bed Team’ and the ‘out of hours Matron’.
Next up is Healthcare Cleaner at CRH Shirley Taylor (pictured right); nominated for Professional Cleaning Operative of the Year.
Part of her nomination said: "Being a cleaner in a busy acute hospital isn’t easy and you need confidence to carry out your duties around lots of other Healthcare Professionals trying to do theirs. All the time making sure the area you are on, is cleaned to the highest standard.
"Shirley has been recognized numerous times through our Employee Recognition Awards Scheme, for her dedication to duty and confident approach to her work.".
The third shortlisted category is Healthcare Establishment of more than 250 beds is based on an audit by Kimberley-Clark. They come along to walk the site and do an audit. They look at how ISS provide their services and the levels of cleanliness as a whole.
The awards are held every two years and are the leading awards for the facilities management and contract cleaning sectors in the UK and Ireland, showcasing excellence and also setting the benchmark for exceptional standards.
