Following Random Acts of Kindness day on Monday, here's a lovely initiative that SAU have launched - it's their very own Cup of Kindness.

Staff Nurse, Laura Earle pictured in the middle of the bottom pic, came up with the idea to help with wellbeing and moral amongst the team. She and fellow Staff Nurse Fran Senior - pictured bottom right along with Laura and HCA Charlee Youell - got their heads together and talked through how it could work.

Staff Nurse, Mary Louden, (top right) was the first lucky recipient of the Cup of Kindness after having a tough time at home. She said: "The Cup of Kindness is just the nicest thing ever.

"It's so nice to know you work with the most thoughtful and caring group of people".

Laura said "The idea is that the cup of kindness is filled with things a person might need to help pick them up, whether its because they are in need, having a bad shift or just to thank them. We include all colleagues on the unit from nursing staff, ward clerks, the house keeper and domestics."

The cup will be refilled by Mary and passed on so someone else feels the love too!
