HRI Ambulatory Assessment Unit said their goodbyes to their much-loved HCA Rhona Walkden.  

Rhona's colleagues surprised her with flowers and presents on the unit and she filled up and tears flowed.  

Staff Nurse, Lesley Carter, said: "Rhona has had to be a diplomat a few times. She's had to keep the peace when the pressure's on -  keeping everybody calm."

We asked Rhona:

How long have you worked at the Trust? More than 20 years

What will you miss? I'll miss the patients. I like having a chat with them and of course, my colleagues.

Plans for the future? Holidays! I am going to do the Race For Life with my grand-daughter as I've always wanted to... my mum died from cancer. 

Lesley added: "I am just going to miss Rhona as a person. We're still going to go on lunch dates!"
