Robert Highton, the domestic at Sexual Health at Broad Street Plaza, has retired after 12 years with us - and wanted a quiet send-off!

So here he is in CHFT Weekly after his colleagues caught him off-guard.

They presented him with gifts and told him how much they will miss him. He was well-known for enjoying his music whilst working and his good jokes (not! lol) and being part of a very amazing team including Louise, Donna and Sharon who have worked with him for many years. He is pictured with team members Louise Dignam and Donna Bowker.

Robert started work at the age of 15 and has  worked in various jobs such in textiles,  30 years at Nestle in Halifax and also two years as a gardener for Calderdale Council's crematorium.

He told colleagues he has enjoyed his time immensely working for the NHS for the last 12 years and wishes he had joined these services years before.

His is married with one grown-up son and we thank him and wish him all the best!
