A dinner for permanent senior medical staff has raised £700 for the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Charity.

Held in October last year at Fixby Hall, the aim was to get teams together socially and build collaborative working to benefit our patients.

Organiser Associate Medical Director and Consultant Vascular Surgeon, Neeraj Bhasin, said:  “I’d genuinely like to thank everyone who attended. I think the night helped people relax together, meet new people, and put faces to names.

"The improved team working should contribute to a better patient experience and outcome. To be able to also raise such a great amount of money for our Trust charity is the icing on the cake. We hope that will also benefit our patients in a different way. Thanks again to everyone who came”

** Neeraj is now exploring organising a Trust wide ‘CHFT Charity Cricket Carnival’ where teams from all across the Trust can come together for a fun cricket tournament. This is to raise money and help colleagues come together to bond and have some fun as a whole Trust group irrespective of your role and area you work in. Emma Kovaleski, our Charity Manager, said: " We are so very grateful to Neeraj and the wider team for helping to support our Trust charity at the dinner. This fantastic donation will help our charity support CHFT and staff to enhance and improve our services right across the Trust, and we very much look forward to helping plan our CHFT Charity Cricket Carnival later in the year.
