To support managers recruit staff into roles, the HR Business Partners and Recruitment Service are offering a one day training course - and they have dates planned right through 2020 to next January.
The course is open to all managers, team co-ordinators/leaders with responsibility for recruiting/selecting staff within their role, and there is a pre-course e-learning module to complete beforehand.
Content covered includes:
- Current recruitment and selection procedures including assessing candidate’s values, attitudes and behaviours
- How values base recruitment increases validity and reliability of the section process
- Equal opportunities in employment policies, procedures and legislation
- Opportunity to practice the skills to shortlist, assess and interview including an overview of Trac (the Trust recruitment system) and NHS Jobs
- Overview of the Trust recruitment process from vacancy to hire
