Our Tissue Viability Team have thanked everyone for their support on worldwide Stop The Pressure Day.

They toured the wards and in community sharing the message that preventing pressure ulcers is something everyone should be aware of - not just nurses but also therapists and other healthcare professionals as well as family members.

As our population gets older there is an increased likelihood of pressure ulcers so checking skin and knowing what to look for is very important..

Our Tissue Viability Specialist Nurse Clinical Lead, Alison Ward, said: " Preventing pressure ulcers is a massive issue - a worldwide issue. It is something we can all be involved with. We would like to thank everyone for the interest shown as we toured around."

Stop the Pressure Day is held worldwide on the third Thursday in November.
