Big thanks to our partners at Sovereign Health Care for their annual cheque donation in support of our nursing workforce.

Sovereign donates to all West Yorkshire hospitals, where it also make visits so people can sign-up to its healthcare plans, and over the years the donations have topped £1.6m.

Next year is the 2020 Year of the Nurse and Midwife and we plan to hold a Leadership Event, upgrading our patient information boards and celebrating the year in recognition of all our nurses and midwives do for our patients and their families.

Receiving the cheque, Lindsay Rudge said: “ We are very grateful for Sovereign’s  continuing donations in support of our nursing workforce. This year we are hosting a Nurses and Midwives’ Leadership programme with speakers and we are also upgrading our patient information boards. The World Health Organization (WHO) has designated the  Year of the Nurse and Midwife in 2020 and Sovereign’s kind donation will help us to recognise and celebrate our nurses and midwives in this important year.”
