Are you a runner like our Lead Cancer, Nurse Chris Button - pictured? Do you get involved in Park Runs? If so you might be keen to know we're hoping to start a CHFT Couch to 5K (C25K) running group in the New Year.

This fits nicely with several initiatives running in the Trust that have a focus on staff health and wellbeing as well as initiatives at running both Calderdale and Kirklees Councils aimed at getting people in the community more active.

To help promote our new running group we're looking for interested CHFT colleagues to run the Halifax Park Run on Saturday 14th December. At the event we'll take some photos as part of our campaign to launch the new running group. We'll also be sharing personal stories about ‘what running means to you’ to advertise and encourage people to join the C25K group in the New Year.

If you can join us at Halifax Park Run on the 14th please let either Colin.Duffield@cht.nhs.uk Emma.Kovaleski@cht.nhs.uk or Christopher.Button@cht.nhs.uk know before midday on Friday 13th December.

Attending the Park Run on the 14th does not commit you to joining or supporting the C25K running group, it is purely a one off. However, if you are interested in supporting the C25K in the New Year your support would be more than welcome!
