All this week, we've been showing our support for the Armed Forces Covenant.

We're so proud that, as a Trust, we are a member of the Armed Forces Veterans' Covenant. A hugely important & supportive initiative for those who have sacrificed so much.

We're raising money for the Royal British Legion in the run up to Remembrance Day at HRI main reception. The next stall will be held on Friday 8th between 11:30am - 1pm. 

Tomorrow our dietitians and stoma nurses are holding a bake sale at HRI main entrance between 10am and 1pm (cakes supplies permitting) - to raise money for bowel cancer research.

Specialist Dietitian, Sandy Wong told us:"Our dietetic team try to contribute to the Macmillan bake sale every year. However we decided to do something different this year.

"We have had a few members of the team who have recently lost their close ones to bowel cancer. So we decided to dedicate a bake sale to this charity this year.

"Our team (especially the surgical dietitians) work very closely with the stoma nurses on the surgical wards, so our work tends to come hand-in-hand when it comes to balancing diet and stoma output for a lot of patients.

"Our cakes will be baked with love, full fat and full sugar!"
