CHFT Weekly can exclusively reveal her commemorative certificate just wasn't enough.... for Jan Calverley.

She's ensured she's going to remember the very special moment at work and spent her Star Award shopping vouchers on a special tattoo!

Regular readers will remember Jan was nominated by her colleague Kristeen Doherty for being there for her when she was going through tough times. It was a very emotional do on Ward 2 at CRH. See attached.

So Jan was determined to have something special to last and when she couldn't get a charm the next best thing was a tattoo.

She said: "I initially wanted a Pandora charm to celebrate my award. I only have a few very special charms and wanted something special. But I couldn't find one that I liked so I decided to have a tattoo instead."

She said the Star Award was very humbling and made her feel very appreciated. Yet adds: "Any one would have done what I did if they needed to."

"My tattoo is something that will always be a reminder of the award and how valued I am and the recognition for what I believed just doing my job."

She said it wasn't her first tattoo.

"It is my fourth. It was uncomfortable but nice, too. People who have tattoos may be able to understand that. Believe it or not I personally am not a great fan of lots of tattoos. I appreciate the artistry of them but I like to hide mine when I want and show them off when I want!"
