Today we're excited to launch our brand new "CHuFT to bits" intranet page - an idea that came from Matron, Karen Farrar (formerly Melling). She'd come off a really tough shift and wanted a way to share how proud she was of her team.

Karen told us how she bumped into our Director of Workforce and OD Suzanne Dunkley at the time.  "When she asked what would help improve things I told her it would be great if I had an electronic way of saying thank you to all my colleagues.

"I wanted to recognise them for the hard work and commitment that they show on a daily basis to deliver care and make a difference to all our patients.

"I'm really excited about the new page and can't wait to start using it".

Our Associate Director of Organisational Development, Ruth Mason, said "Launching the CHuFT brand is part of our overall strategy around recognising colleagues. They do great things day-in, day-out but we're sometimes not the best at shouting about it.

"We think our colleagues are brilliant and should shout about the great things they do to build on One Culture of Care from the rooftops!

Ruth added, "Chuffed is a recognisable Yorkshire expression for a genuine happiness which can be triggered by little things. So using our Trust’s initials CHFT seemed a great way of saying what we're proud of."

So take a look at the right-hand side of the intranet homepage for the red button - and share what you are CHuFT about.  Your story could be on the page next!

*** Over the next few days posters will start going up across our sites shouting out about what else we're CHuFT to bits about.....whether it's all the great awards our colleagues get put up for or our brilliant take up on appraisals this year. So if you seen them - take a chance to read them and feel proud.
