We've been enjoying celebrating our HCAs at CHFT and the first drop-in coffee and chat session has been held.
Chief Nurse Ellen Armistead met with HCA colleagues at CRH to discuss with them their work issues - or indeed anything. We asked her for her feedback on the get-togethers which were a direct result from the feedback from Staff Survey 2018.
What did you take away from the session as our Chief Nurse? How committed our HCAs are, how they understand the impact they have on patient experience.
Will you be making any changes as a result? I will be looking into some of those issues that have been causing some frustration around the scope of the role
Do you see HCAs through different eyes? I always realised how amazing our HCAs are meeting with them only confirmed this
How good is it to meet and chat? Really helpful, it helped me connect with them and hear first hand how if feels to work here
