The Prevention of Delirium team have organised a 5km sponsored walk on Sunday 20th October to raise funds for local dementia services.

The idea came from Sister, Paula McDonagh, the supporting lead for the Prevention of Delirium team. Paula wants to raise funds for local dementia services including funds for patients with dementia who visit our hospital, but also help support improvements for the team* too.

The walk takes place on Sunday 20th October – Starting at 10.30 and everyone is welcome to join.

It will set off from Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, walking a circular route through Lindley, Edgerton and Marsh, returning to the hospital. Children will need signed consent from a parent or guardian.

Registration is now open – please get in touch to register and receive your sponsorship form or go to the intranet in the Dementia section, forms are downloadable from there https://intranet.cht.nhs.uk/clinical-information/dementia/sponsored-walk/
