Our flu campaign has got off to a cracking start with almost 1500 jabs given to high-risk frontline colleagues in just 10 days.

And with cases of flu already in our both of hospitals, our immunisers are gearing up to roll-out cover all wider frontline areas.

Medical Director, David Birkenhead, said: "This is a really good start to the flu campaign this season."

** If you are covered as part of your GP winter flu programme or you are due a jab through your midwife,  it may be quicker to get yours through that route, and then self-declare on our form here so we know you’ve had it.

Or our lovely Occy Health team are on-hand if you can’t easily get there. Please email flu.chft@cht.nhs.uk and they’ll work with you to book a jab.

And a reminder we have an egg-free vaccine too for colleagues allergic to eggs. Again please contact the team on the email above or call CRH x2039.

Having the vaccination is still the safest way to protect yourself, your family and our patients from the flu - so if you are offered it, please have it.
