Julie has retired after 15 years in our reception services.
Here she shares her thoughts and how she managed to keep on smiling for patients - even when clinics run late!
Best bit about working at CHFT? The best thing about working at CHFT was the staff and colleagues I worked with, they were always so friendly and helpful, they made it a pleasure to go to work.
Is it hard smiling all the time for our patients behind reception? It's hard smiling all the time behind reception because if anything goes wrong such as clinics been cancelled or running late the first person to get blamed is the receptionist as patients think it's your fault. But most of the patients have been a pleasure to meet and I will miss them.
Plans for the future? My plans for the future retirement is to enjoy some quality time with my husband David, my daughters and grandchildren, and taking some extra well earned holidays.
What will you miss? The things I will miss most will be my work colleagues and the staff at Acre Mills as it has seemed like my home since it opened, you go in and it's like your extended family. I'll miss them all.
