Jackie Whiteoak, pictured centre, a Health Care Assistant who has worked in outpatients for 26 years has moved to pastures to start a new role in radiology as a Imaging Coordinator.

Sister in Orthopaedic Outpatients, Jane Cash,  said Jackie had been an "integral part" of the orthopaedic outpatients team for many years and a real champion for Friends and Family Test.  (FFT)

She said: "Jackie had a lot of experience prepping and running clinics so had a huge amount of knowledge to pass on to new starters, which she did with her customary enthusiasm and kindness. Jackie became FFT champion for orthopaedic outpatients at CRH, and when she took on this role the FFT results increased to a whopping 99%! She also did a huge amount for the department by organising cake sales and book sales to raise money for charitable funds."

On Jackie's last day, a buffet was held on the department to wave her goodbye. Members of the nursing team and doctors whom she had worked with for many years phoned and visited her to wish her well, as well as managers and matrons. She was presented with flowers, gifts and gift vouchers.

Jane added: "She's a very popular member of staff who will be greatly missed for all her hard work and support.  We wish her well in her new post."
