Successes from across the Trust were highlighted at the first of our face to face Information Sharing events.

Among the breaking news, was the excellent results for the first quarter achieved by our teams in the Emergency Departments. They hit the first quarter targets of 95% of patients seen in under four hours and we have also achieved our ambulance turnaround times.

Our early morning briefings are a great opportunity for staff to find out what is going on. Each division submits their key successes, plans and developments and our Director of Nursing, Julie Dawes and Company Secretary, Victoria Pickles hosted the July events at both hospitals.

The next two will be:

  • 5th August 8 -9  am in the Lecture Theatre at HRI, and the Dining Room at CRH.
  • 2nd September 8-9 am in the Lecture Theatre on both HRI & CRH.

The feedback given was:

“Good to see an update from all the divisions”

“Great to find out what’s going on right across the Trust”

“Demonstrates that we are actively doing things, and delivering”

Executive Director of Nursing, Julie Dawes, said: “Our new approach is intended to build on well-established communications and colleague involvement channels by providing a more structured, face-to-face approach. Most importantly, it is a great opportunity to thank colleagues for continued support and commitment to delivering compassionate care to our patients.”
