Marilyn Rogers is a specialist midwife Infant Feeding Advisor in the Trust.

Her research investigated breastfeeding mothers’ experiences of their infant’s admission to hospital with neonatal hypernatraemic dehydration. Marilyn’s supervisor Dr Mike Woolridge described her work as ‘giving wings to women’s voices’  and her work was nominated  for the Society of Reproductive and Infant Psychology (SRIP) Doctoral Thesis Prize .

Marilyn said: “I felt very honoured to receive such praise for my work and I would like to acknowledge and thank my supervision team and the University Of Leeds School Of Healthcare Studies for funding my Research Studentship. In addition, for the training allowance that had then enabled me to study at the School of Nursing, and the Centre for Research in Nursing Education, at the Indiana University in the USA.
