Our League of Friends at CRH has kindly donated some money to the ENT OPD at CRH to create a play area and purchase some toys for all the children who attend the clinic.

They have bought toys which are interactive items to stimulate children.

This has taken nearly 12 months to source the toys, place the orders (as many items were out of stock), then get some of the items installed correctly.

It was the idea of Carole Halls (Outpatient Receptionist) and Sally Brinkhurst (ENT Staff Nurse) to have a little play area for children waiting in the clinic. Carole explained that they previously directed patients with children to the eye clinic, which has a similar play area which is down a corridor and round a corner from ENT, away from the department so not ideal.

They contacted the League of Friends for possible funding.

Outpatient Receptionist, Carole Halls, said: "The play area is now all completed and looks fantastic, all the hard work has paid off and children within the department are now reaping the benefits."
