Calderdale and Huddersfield Solutions (CHS) celebrated its first birthday last week.

Their new MD Stuart Sugarman - standing and fifth on the left - attended the celebrations ahead of his officially starting with CHS at the end of this month.

Stuart Baron, acting MD for CHS, said: "Thank you to everyone who has supported the establishment of CHS since our operational go-live. We have made huge strides forward over the past 12 months and continue to deliver excellent services for the patients and staff of CHFT. Since the establishment of CHS we have been able to achieve the following successes to name just a few:

  • retain our accreditation with honours for our cleaning standards;
  • invest in our medical engineering team to improve the service we provide;
  •  commence work on the HRI estates strategy;
  • implement a new electronic system in community stores;
  • developing a new electronic patient meal ordering system;
  • reduce our operational costs e.g. linen usage and waste;
  • achieve excellent patient feedback across all our services; and
  • deliver our financial plan

We will continue to build up these successes to support the Trust in delivering excellent services to our patients."

***To mark the end of Year 1 CHS want to hear from colleagues who have used their services in the past year to complete a quick five minute survey.

They plan to run a survey every six months to support improvements and check how things are progressing.

It's anonymous and you can add your comments too. The survey has been created using Office 365 so you'll need to log into your account to complete it.
