Two Trusts down South threw down the Candy Dance challenge.... and on behalf of the North, CHFT replied big-style!

Around 50 colleagues shook their "thang" in the old Laundry Room at HRI and had a right laugh. On a twist of Working Together to get Results - they danced together as a team in matching t-shirts - to great effect.

Owen will be watching it too as he's judging their efforts to decide where to award his two charity donations - one for the best Candy Dancer and one for the person who may need a "little more development" in their footwork!  He was on the front row so couldn't see all the nifty footwork - and not so - behind him.

He said: "This was great fun and truly working together to get results in action. It was the opportunity for everyone to step together even though we're all different".

Here's the verdict from some of the other dancers.

Sarah Grocott from the Discharge Team "Amazing."

Her colleague James Simpson described it as "challenging".

Domestic Gena Dick said it was "great" and Natalie Wood from the Safeguarding Team said it was "Dance-tastic".

Errol Brown said: "It was great to see CHFT colleagues come together, dance, smile and have some fun. Fantastic Morale Booster."

Maggie Metcalfe: “A proper sense of belonging which was fun and gave us energy for the afternoon ahead!”

Sarah Ambrose: The organisation showed the ability to step together and everyone who took part embraced the positive energy which was uplifting."

Kath Fletcher: "Myself and three colleagues from the Planned Access & Data Quality team took part in the dance. We all thought it was great fun and invigorating. We connected with colleagues who we wouldn’t ordinarily see in our working day, and as complete novices to the dance steps enjoyed the challenge to learn together. Huge thanks to Errol and Co for organising such a fun event."

Nicki Hosty: "Inclusive. Joyful. Happy."
