Yesterday  NHS England  (Weds Aug 28) started a  public consultation into how specialist vascular services will be provided in West Yorkshire in the future.

It is proposed to create two centres for complex vascular care (where a patient requires a hospital stay). One will be at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust (the area’s leading trauma centre) and the other is currently proposed to be at Bradford Teaching Hospitals Trust where there is a major renal unit.

All minor vascular care will continue to be provided locally at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. To find out more and have your say click here.

Our Vascular Surgeon Neeraj Bhasin is the clinical lead for the West Yorkshire service and has working closely with CHFT staff potentially affected.
