The Rainbow want to share  this story to show the amazing support this family and their supporters have given their service on behalf of their little boy Alfie Kinder.

His parents Holly and Thomas Kinder have been on an epic fundraising effort as a thankyou for all the support they receive from the caring teams at the unit at CRH and to help them care for other youngsters too.

Mum, Holly, said:  "We decided to choose Rainbow child development to fundraise for as it’s not a common charity and feels very close to everybody’s hearts. Alfie was diagnosed with polymicrogyria and ourselves,  our family and friends wanted to help in any way they could.

"Not just for Alfie for others who use the development centre. The equipment and toys we have donated could seriously help the development of the children. The work they do needs the right equipment. We knew we could help and are so thankful we did! We raised money via ‘Alfies story’ on Facebook!"

Katie Booth, our Clinical Nurse Manager - Children's Outpatient and Rainbow Child Development Services, said: " We are absolutely delighted with the donations received which included sensory toys, games, dolls, TV and DVD player. Our children and families have already started reaping the rewards of these donations and will continue to do so in the future.

"Thank you so much to Alfie, his family and their supporters for your unbelievably kind donations to our service."
