Gemma Berriman our Head Nurse, Discharge Co-ordinator, will be one of the CHFT colleagues who will be sharing their work experiences at our next Schwartz Round. (Tues).

She will be joined by Community Matron, Sheila Kalanovic and Medical Secretary, Surgery, Nicki Sharma, who will be talking about the emotional side of making tough decisions here at CHFT and how they cope.

Listening to them talk openly will hopefully support other colleagues and everyone is welcome to come along and listen. 

Here are the key details:

• Tuesday 30th July - Learning Centre HRI DR1
• Lunch at 12midday - Schwartz Round runs between 12.30 and 1.30pm
• No need to book and open to all
• CPD points on offer for attending

The sessions are being held as it is important to care for each other as it is for our patients. The Schwartz Rounds were designed by an Amercian who had healthcare and recognised the pressures the doctors, nurses and therapists were all under.

It’s important that we care for each other in the same way as we care for our patients and these Schwartz Rounds are part of our key ingredients in The Cupboard - our digital people strategy.
