Our Trust was represented at the Great Get Together in Halifax recently. The now annual event is inspired by Jo Cox who said in her first speech to parliament, "we are far more united and have far more in common than that which divides us".

On a blisteringly hot day, people of all ages and backgrounds from the local community played rounders (yes, really), watched Indian dance, and watched cookery demonstrations, and had picnics. There was also 'Speed Faith Dating' - an opportunity to find out more about different faiths within the Calderdale area.

CHFT had a stall at the event held at St Jude's Parish Church and on Skircoat Moor. There was information about our multi-faith chaplaincy and the Horizon Group, detailing the events organised to promote more awareness within different communities of the available resources for good end of life care.

CHFT Chaplain, George Spencer, said, "I was really pleased to be part of the day because I believe we are richer through working together, and the CHFT Chaplaincy has long tried to do that.

Our pictures show Sail Sulemann, Calderdale Diversity and Cohesion Officer, and George, chaplain, with Ian Leedham from Community Foundation, Calderdale propping the stall up in a windy spell!
