We're finishing our Wimbledon coverage with our own prize winners over the tournament. And a huge thanks to Anya, Charlotte and Sam from the Engagement Team for bringing lots of fun, games and strawberry & cream lolly pops to wards, departments and community areas across the Trust.

Prizes galore were up for grabs which were generously donated from local tennis clubs, Huddersfield Lawn Tennis and Squash Club, Queen's Sports Club and Britvic.

The 'how many balls in a bin, in a min' game brought out the competitive streak in some.  The competition ended with a tie-breaker between Fundraising Manager, Emma Kovaleski, and Service Desk Analyst, Fehzan Alam. It was Fehzan at Oak House who was triumphant. He matched his impressive score of 22 balls and scooped the 1st prize of a months gym membership at the Huddersfield Lawn Tennis and Squash Club, a goody bag and a bottle of Robinsons juice.

Staff Nurse Outpatients, Helen O'Neill won a one hour tennis coaching session at Queen's Sports Club in Halifax and Service Desk Analyst, Aaron Cresswell, netted some strawberries, cream and a bottle of Robinsons juice .  Last up for prizes for the balls in a bin were Cardiology Staff Nurse, Beth Crossley and Medical Illustrations colleague, Megan Radford. They each won a tube of tennis balls, a goody bag and a bottle of Robinsons juice.

The games continued with the best 'grunt' and the best 'you cannot be serious' impression.  Jill Tattersley, Sexual Health Nurse Specialist, at Broad Street, secured 1st place for her best 'grunt'.  Her colleagues will love her for sharing her prize of strawberries, cream and Robinsons juice.  Jason Cropper, Senior Audiologist, sported the curly wig and headband to give his best impression of John McEnroe.  His meltdown scored him and the Audiology team strawberries, cream and Robinsons juice.

The final game of the fortnight resulted in recruitment assistant, Andre Mitchell, winning strawberries, cream and Robinson juice for correctly guessing 9 of the 10 (f)Aces behind the famous tennis player masks.

A massive thank you to all who took part, we hope you all enjoyed a little sporting relief!

Wimbledon was part of our year-round engagement activity - which is all listed in our new Colleague Engagement Calendar - stored in The Cupboard (our digital people strategy).

Take a look and see what's coming up soon.
