It's not just colleagues who have had fun during Wimbeldon fortnight. The team on the Stroke Ward at CRH carried out their own fund raising drive during the tournament, raising £110 for the unit, with patients getting involved too.

Engagement Support Worker, Sam Justice-Martin, said: "Wimbledon was really popular with colleagues and patients coming together to watch it, so we thought it would be a good idea to bring the true Wimbledon spirit to ward 7 at Calderdale Royal Hospital.

"The afternoon consisted of strawberries and cream, angel delight and various drinks, making sure we catered for everybody’s nutritional needs as some patients need a modified diet.

"It was a great event and our patients loved getting together to watch the tennis. They also got involved by decorating the trolley that we took the strawberries and cream around the ward on.

"It was a really uplifting atmosphere for patients, their relatives and our colleagues".

Game, set and match we say!
