Our annual visual impairment forum* takes place next weekend (Sat 29th) - and this year's topic is glaucoma. It's an open event, so come along if you would like to know more about the condition, the effect it can have on daily life and the treatment available.

Join us from 8.30am at the Learning Centre at CRH. Refreshements will be provided.

Here are some of the items being covered by our colleagues and local partners:

  • Mr P Alaghband, Consultant Ophthalmologist - What is Glaucoma? How it’s managed/treated
  • Mr Estephan, Consultant Ophthalmologist - Ocular Coherence, Tomography (OCT) scans
  • Dr Shevade, Ophthalmologist - Glaucoma and driving
  • Clare Harrower, Nurse Practitioner - Ocular Hypertension

The forum was started three years ago to give colleagues, patients, opticians etc. information on different eye conditions with the help of our consultants, junior doctors giving their expert advice, and as much information as possiible on the eye condition being covered.
