Next week is Learning Disabilities Week at CHFT.

Our Matron  lead for Learning Disabilites, Amanda Mckie (pictured centre) will be promoting awareness of our hospital passports - designed to support colleagues to provide extra care for patients with extra needs.

Amanda, is pictured here with members of Kirklees Network (KIN) who will be walking the wards with her at HRI Thursday. Amanda will be visiting CRH on Monday and on both days there will be stands in both hospital entrances.

Amanda, said: " The treat-me-well group created, piloted and undertook a survey of 85 people with learning disabilities and they didn't know about VIP hospital passport. So the group has decided to walk the wards to promote them."

They will be having a stand in Greenhead Park on Friday to ensure people with a learning disability and carers' know about the passport.
