After "4,000 emails", our staff nurse Lola Duncan has finally helped  little patient Riley Merrill sing live with Jess Glynne.

Lola managed to arrange a private "Meet and Greet" session with Jess in her tour bus (see pic below) before the concert at Haydock Park last Friday.

She told us: "Jess was amazing; the whole conversation was about Riley**. She sat next to him on the sofa and they chatted about his best friends, what he likes doing at school...just everything really.

"At the end she asked him if there was anything else she could do for him. He didn't hesitate and just asked can I sing on stage with you?.

"So Jess sorted it all out and the next thing Riley's up there singing. He knew every word and didn't freeze like some might. He totally bossed it and I was a sobbing wreck!".

Jess posted a short clip of Riley on his fundraising Facebook page, which he has set up so he can try and tick off more items on his wishlist. Apparently Gordon Ramsey is next in his sights. His page is called Riley's Fundraising Story. Watch his short clip here.

Jess tweeted a picture (see below) of Riley on stage with the following text:

"Please meet my little friend Riley. He came and sang Thursday with me last night. This little boy is the strongest, most special human. If I could do anything to help him I would and bringing him out last night, seeing him sing and smile as much as he did was so heart wearming. Thank you to the crowd that showed nothing but love for this little man. Appreciate the skin you're in cause let me tell you, some of us do not have it that easy."

**Riley suffers from a severe case recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB). It means he has extremely sore, sensitive skin and the linings of his throat are also affected.
