Our super lovely volunteers are thinking of others - even at their own Xmas Party.

Their fundraising raffle raised enough to kit out the Bowel Cancer  Screening Nurses  - so no more shivery information stands at our hospital entrances.

Now they've smart black fleecies and a new sign so they are even more successful at spreading their important  awareness messages which save lives.

Last year the volunteers' Xmas party donations bought toys for our paediatric wards.

Kath Thorpe, sent her thanks to the Volunteers. She said: " It is really appreciated and the Bowel Cancer Screening nurses are so happy that they can finally stand in the doorways of the hospitals and other venues without freezing and the banner now means that they get noticed much more easily.

" Bowel Cancer Screening is all about prevention and saves lives so this gift from the volunteers will hopefully help us achieve higher uptake of the screening test. Thank you all again for your kindness."
