Doctor Jessica Gray raised more than £800 for the Forget Me Not Hospice and admits: "It was the hardest things I've ever done."

Jessica an FY1 in paediatrics, completed the Swedish Marathon, at the weekend and said: "The hardest bit was the bridge at 35km. It had started raining and I had an knee injury two weeks before so struggled there on after.

"I managed to listen to good music throughout which helped keep me bouncing on- it’s mainly dance/ pop/ folk songs that are very uplifting to help with the mental side of running that distance."

Her fundraising page is still open and can be accessed here. www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Jessica-Gray14

She adds: "Forget Me Not Children's Hospice, provides support to families within the West Yorkshire and East Lancashire area, are relatively unique in that they support families even during pregnancy when the devastating news is broken that their unborn baby has a life-threatening illness.

She adds: " It's probably my last ever marathon- the hardest thing I have ever done and not particularly the most enjoyable. However the feeling of finishing on the track in the Olympic stadium from 1912 was incredible!"

Well done Jessica!!
